Supporting Your New Goals

I have to keep reminding myself of why
I started this challenge in the first place.

When starting a new goal, it is important to have a system of support in place. It may hurt to find out that this support does not come from where you expected it to come from. That does not mean you should label that person as unsupportive; he or she just may not be part of your support for that particular goal.

Similarly, support for your health goals won’t always come from the places you’d expect.  All of a sudden, every girls nights out revolves around food and drinks. Date night is dinner and a movie. Emergencies pop up during your workout class. Actually – – these things did NOT change; you did. Family and friends love you – – just the way you are. But, when you decide it’s time for a change, sometimes you have to own and support your own goals. You cannot expect anyone to embrace your goals the way you would. That is a word to the wise and a note to myself. Have a good week!
